Our Love Story

Our journey together began in August of 2021 through Facebook Dating, where we discovered a shared connection—a mutual friend that made our initial conversations effortless and fun. Little did we know, this connection would turn into something truly special.

Just as we were getting to know each other, Hurricane Ida hit, bringing devastation and flooding that impacted my life in unimaginable ways. I lost everything, including gas and electric, and was left struggling to rebuild.

About two weeks after the storm, I received a message from Walter asking where I had been. I shared the difficult news that my life had essentially washed away. Walter, with a kindness and sincerity that immediately touched me, asked if there was any way he could help.

Our first meeting was a casual drink at Jack Jones in Astoria. Despite my initial reservations and playful hard time, Walter’s persistence and genuine care shone through. Our connection grew stronger, and just a month later, he was at my home, helping to restore the damage caused by the storm.

In December, I had the pleasure of meeting Walter’s daughter, Michelle, as we prepared for her birthday party. From that moment on, we knew we had found something extraordinary together.

Our story is one of unexpected beginnings, resilience, and a love that has only grown deeper with time. We are excited to continue this adventure together and celebrate our journey as we start this new chapter in our lives.
